 #reblogging again because TAGS #she is all he wants and it’s what kills them in the end #because lyla garrity knows what it’s like to build your life around another person #and she knows what it’s like when all those plans fall apart #and she’s not going to do that to herself again and she’s definitely not going to let herself be that person for tim #i just really love that the show takes this route with them#rather than the typical ‘good girl falls in love with bad boy and it turns out badly for her’ route #that always ends up shaming women for their choices #(GIRLS LOVE THE BAD BOYS~~ lol fuck you) #lyla is secure enough to know to walk away when there is nothing left for her in this relationship #it’s not easy - she does love him #but she loves herself more #it hurts her to watch him going aimlessly down the wrong path #but it would hurt a lot more to let him drag her down too #and she knows in the end neither of them would be happy #because as much as he wants her he also doesn’t want to be the guy who holds her back #they were always doomed and it is heartbreaking and beautiful and horrible and wonderful #best episode #perfect ship dismantling #otp otp otp
